Buying an Event Dome
Choosing a Size
Start from how you'll use the space — a standing reception, seated dining, a stage, or a projection show each need different room. Capacity and height are planning estimates only. Final layout depends on your interior program, local rules, and engineering — we estimate them for your project during quoting. Ask about custom and larger sizes. Feasibility, availability, engineering, logistics, and lead time are confirmed for each project.
Covers and Options
Covers: clear, translucent, blackout, printed and branded covers, interior liners, and more depending on the project. Additional doors, connecting tunnels, flooring, lighting, climate control, projection, and branding are quoted per order.
Delivery and Installation
Delivery, installation, and removal are available services, scoped in your proposal. Typical setup runs about 2 days for 20–30 ft domes and about 4 days for 44–60 ft domes; the schedule is confirmed for your project.
Engineering and Permits
Permitting documentation and engineering are available in all 50 states. Anchoring and project documents depend on the engineering and the specific job. Wind and anchoring performance depends on the engineering report for your dome, the anchoring or ballast used, ground and site conditions, and local rules.
Orders and Cancellations
Event domes are custom-manufactured, so they are generally non-returnable and non-refundable once a deposit has been made and manufacturing has begun. Exact terms vary by project and are set out in your quote and contract. If The Dome House causes a manufacturing error, a missing part, or another project issue, we will remedy it.
Renting instead?
Every standard size is available to rent, with delivery, installation, and removal quoted alongside the dome.
