Planning the Location
Backyard, farm, or shoreline — the site review checks the same things:
- A level surface, indoor or outdoor
- Access for delivery vehicles and installation equipment
- Working room around the dome for installation — larger domes can need 20 ft or more
- Indoors: enough clearance and room for lift equipment during installation
- Power for lighting, climate, and AV options
- Anchoring or ballast as set by the engineering for your site
- Agreed setup and removal windows
Installation and removal windows are agreed around your wedding timeline and written into the quote.
U.S. rental projects are quoted by location and date, including Alaska and Hawaii. Additional shipping costs and lead times apply to Alaska and Hawaii. International inquiries are reviewed individually; availability, logistics, insurance, customs, and local requirements must be confirmed before booking.

Do you provide the venue or the land?
No — and that's the point. The Dome House provides the structure, not the land, resort, or permanent venue. You choose the place — family land, a vineyard, a coastline, a backyard — and we make it the venue for the weekend. Site permission is yours to arrange; the structure is ours.
What size dome fits our guest list?
It depends on the layout — dinner seating, a dance floor, lounge areas, a ceremony space. Capacity is a planning estimate, never a guaranteed occupancy; tell us the guest count and how the evening should flow, and we'll recommend a size during quoting rather than sell the biggest one.
What happens if it rains — or the forecast turns?
The dome is an enclosed, engineered structure, so rain itself doesn't change the plan — that's much of why couples choose it over an open-sky ceremony. Engineering for your project and site sets the anchoring or ballast and the weather contingency requirements; on-site monitoring during the weekend is usually your planner's responsibility. We don't make weather guarantees beyond the engineered design criteria.
Can guests see the sky and the view from inside?
Yes — a clear cover is one of the standard options, alongside translucent, blackout, and printed or branded covers. Lighting design keeps the room glowing without turning clear panels into mirrors at night.
Will it be comfortable in summer or winter?
Climate control is an available option, quoted to the season, the dome size, and the guest count — cooling for an August reception, heating for a December one. It's part of the quote conversation, not an afterthought on the day.
How far ahead should we book?
As soon as the date is set — wedding dates concentrate in the same weekends. Event domes are made to order and schedule is confirmed during quoting. Can we decorate the dome?
Yes. Florals, draping, and design lighting install as they would in any venue, and your planner or designer works with the structure freely. Ambient projection is available as a quoted option for couples who want it, though most weddings shine with lighting alone.
